South West Wales to Ireland

This is the shrine of St Caradog, built into a wall at the side of one of the chapels in St Davids Cathedral. Caradog lived in Glamorgan as a hermit before retiring to the Isle of Ary with his followers . They were captured by pirates but released next day as the pirates feared divine retribution. When Henry I invaded south Wales, he was forced into exile and died around in 1124.
